Kuala Lumpur – Pos Malaysia, like the rest of postal industry worldwide, need new ideas to evolve as the number of mails dwindles. It is no surprise that they have turned to Al-Ishsal Ishak, a turnaround consultant turned technopreneur, to lead the Group. Pos Malaysia Bhd today announced that they have appointed Al-Ishsal Ishak as their new group CEO.
Ishsal fills in the vacant position after its former Group CEO, Datuk Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh, resigned on 11 December 2017. Datuk Azlan Shahrim, covered the position of group executive officer during the interim period will now return to his post as group chief operating officer.
No stranger to the industry, Ishsal started his career as a consultant with Turnaround Managers before making a name in the technopreneurship area. His previous stints include those as the chief digital officer of McCann Ericsson Worldgroup, Malaysia Airlines’ senior vice president of marketing and products as well as, AirAsia’s group head ancillary income. His other roles includes the CEO of Baraka Telecom (a Kuwaiti-owned outfit), with various senior positions in Tune Group.
