Seremban – McDonald’s recently officially celebrated the grand opening of its eighth restaurant located at Ampangan, Negeri Sembilan.
The grand opening was officiated by YB Senator Datuk Chong Sin Woon, Malaysia’s Deputy Minister of Education II last Saturday.
“Since it started operating in mid-October last year, this restaurant has been receiving fantastic response from the local community. The building’s trim structure has also become an attraction here, as well as being talked about on social media,” said McDonald’s Malaysia Senior Director of Operations, Felina Lim.
The restaurant is operational 24 hours a day and has a seating capacity of 156, with a drive-through counter. “More than 50 per cent of our customers are those using the drive-through facility,” added Felina.
She also said the restaurant is managed by over 50 Malaysian employees, 90 per cent of whom are degree holders.
In Malaysia, about 80 per cent of our restaurants’ management team members started their career at McDonald’s as a restaurant crew, and this is something that to proud of.
Also held in conjunction with the official opening of the restaurant, is a cheque contribution in the amount of RM3,000 to Rumah Anak-Anakku Sayang Ar-Rayyan in Seremban, presented by Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) in line with its mission to help children in need.
The crowd at the grand opening event enjoyed fun-filled activities such as colouring contests, dance performances and a special show by McDonald’s Chief Happiness Officer, Ronald McDonald.
