KUALA LUMPUR – The Culture and Tourism Ministry continues to organise a photography and short video contest on social media with the sub-theme #MyDestination from this March 1 until April 30.
In a statement, the ministry said the participants would need to submit a creative photo or short video related to the uniqueness of attractive locations or places of interest that are lesser known to the public, through social media platforms, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
“For the short video competition, participants need to upload a 30-to-60- second video on social media with hashtags #SayangMalaysia and #MyDestination.
“The contest offers attractive prizes for the top three winners and five consolation prizes, which include free accommodation tickets at popular domestic destinations, to theme parks, shopping vouchers, and more,” it said.
The contest is organised by the ministry in conjunction with the #SayangMalaysia Social Media Campaign,in its effort to make Malaysia a top tourism and cultural destination and to encourage both domestic and international tourists to use social media platforms to share all their beautiful and unique holiday experiences in Malaysia.
The public gets the chance to participate in six photo and short video contests throughout 2018 under six sub-themes, namely #MyCuisine (January to February), #MyDestination (March to April), #MyCulture (May to June), #MyShopping (July to August), #MyHeritage (September to October) and #MyKampung (November to December).
